Tip of the week: Store brought celery, the best way to have it last in your refrigerator - remove celery from plastic bag. Wash in vinegar water then dry well. Then you would wrap celery in heavy aluminum foil tightly, Play celery in crisper part of your refrigerator will stay fresh  4 weeks. Vinegar water recipe:  Pour 4 cups cold water into large bowl add 1 tablespoon white vinegar.  Next you can grow celery in flower pot indoors or outdoors from seeds to harvest it take 130 days with lot of love.  I will be starting celery and bok choy in flower pots posting growing progress on our Facebook and Instagram - you can find us by searching southardfarmlouisa

About us

At Farmer's Wife Kitchen for ten years, I have working hard perfecting farm to tables recipes. Producing and eating locally grown meats, vegetables and fruits has been a very enriching process for our. fami!y on Southard Farm.  Which is located in Louisa Virginia. We grow herbs,  veggies black walnuts and have cows, chickens, ducks and our four fur babbies. Our farm life is hard work but, Very enriching to us.
